Meccano

Innovative construction kits for kids from Meccano

The very first Meccano kit was created in 1898 by Frank Hornby in England. It was a mechanical kit with metal nuts and screws allowing kids and young ones to experiment and learn at the same time.

In the US, Alfred Carlton created the Gilbert Erector in 1913. He created construction sets for kids so they had everything they needed to construct their very own small towns. Since then, great inventors around the world have used Erector and Meccano kits for their first creations.

Today, Erector and Meccano work together under Spin Master Ltd. Their final products are construction sets for a whole new generation of inventors and kids who are curious about science, technology, art and maths.

Meccano Juniors construction kits are specially designed for the little ones. They come in various levels of difficulty and are available for different age groups.
